A similar ceremony was held by the Ministry of Finance and Economy. The ceremony, which was followed by the presentation of Donations to Orphans and the Announcement of the Results of the Al-Qurani Verses Recitation Competition, was held at the Ministry.

Present was Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy for Fiscal. The ceremony was enlivened with a Special Talk titled "Strengthening the Learning of Al-Qur'an and Internalising Its Teachings" delivered by Awang Haji Muskrisman Safari bin Haji Mustapa, Religious Development Officer, Assistant Head of the Da'wah Development Division. Also held was a presentation of donations to 19 orphans and prizes to the winners of the Qari and Qariah for the Al-Qur'an Verses Recitation Competition. Also present was Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy for Fiscal.​
